Shaping and Starching the Ornament
Sugar Starch Recipe:
1 part water to 2 parts sugar (e.g., 1 cup water, 2 cups sugar).
Heat the mixture on the stove until the sugar is completely dissolved.
Starching Process:
Remove the starch mixture from the heat.
Submerge the crocheted ornament in the starch until it is fully saturated.
Insert a balloon into the ornament, inflate it, and tie it securely.
Hang the ornament to dry (approximately 3 days).
Once dry, pop the balloon and gently remove it.
To add extra flair, attach fabric bows and ribbons to your ornament. These beautiful, handmade Christmas balls are perfect for your tree, or you can give them as thoughtful, festive gifts.
Enjoy crocheting these charming decorations, and may your holiday season be as bright and cheerful as your creations!
