The countdown is on, and I’m ready to embrace the holiday rush with open arms!

Supplies:

Crafted using Aunt Lydia’s Fashion #3 cotton thread in two hues (I opted for red and white). Utilize a US D/3.25 mm crochet hook. Have a tapestry needle on hand.

Guidelines Dimensions: Approximately 4.5 inches in diameter

Gauge: While not crucial for this project, I typically achieve around 24 double crochets in 4 inches using this specific thread and hook combination.

Abbreviations (US Terms):

  • ch = chain
  • dc = double crochet
  • FP = Front Post
  • Hdc = half double crochet
  • sc = single crochet
  • sl st = slip stitch
  • st(s) = stitch(es)
  • tr = treble

Round 1:

Round 2:

Join Color 2 in any chain 3 space, Chain 3, work 2 double crochets in the same chain space, chain 1, 3 double crochets, chain 1 in the next chain 3 space, repeat between * to end, join.

Round 3:

Chain 2, Front Post double crochet around the first double crochet, 2 half double crochets in the next double crochet, half double crochet AND Front Post double crochet around the next double crochet, chain 1, repeat between * to end, join.

Round 4:

Chain 2, Front Post double crochet around the next Front Post double crochet, half double crochet in the next 3 half double crochets, Front Post double crochet around the next Front Post double crochet, chain 3] repeat between * to end, join.

Round 5:

Chain 2, Front Post double crochet around the next Front Post double crochet, half double crochet in the next 2 half double crochets, skip the next half double crochet, Front Post double crochet around the next Front Post double crochet, chain 6, repeat between * to end, join.

Round 6:

Chain 2, Front Post single crochet 2 together over two Front Post double crochets, skipping the 2 half double crochets between, chain 8 repeat between * to end, join.

Round 7:

Join Color 1, in and Front Post single crochet 2 together, chain 1, single crochet in Front Post single crochet 2 together, working around chains of the previous two rounds (so that the chains are encased), treble crochet 9 repeat between * to end, join. Fasten off.
